BIOGRAPHY
Miriam founded The School of Vocal Arts located in Rhode Island where she teaches and coaches students of all ages and levels of experience. Miriam has been a voice specialist and performance coach for more than 25 years. Before moving her studio to RI, Miriam spent several years in NYC as a coach to broadway stars, opera students, pop and jazz performers.
The primary goals of Miriam's work are to assist individuals in developing an effortless, clear, free, natural, unrestricted breath and voice. She has developed and evolved her own method: Foundations for Effortless Singing™ which produces extraordinary results in the areas of expanded vocal support, resilience, flexibility, power, resonance, pitch placement and range. Her work with performance is designed to optimize an individual's ability to exude authenticity, presence, unabashed dynamism, self confidence, emotional comfort and connection to ones audience. She does this one on one and in a group format. Her work also serves to unlock and free the creative process as well as breakthrough methods of coping with and overcoming stagefright and performance anxiety.
She combines an eclectic array of approaches that are dynamic and fun in a supportive environment. Miriam travels nationwide giving workshops to the general public, amatuer and seasoned professional performers. For more information, please visit my website at wwwyourtruevoicecom
