BIOGRAPHY
Vince Madison is a Colorado native, where he holds a music composition degree from the Lamont School of Music graduating magna cum laude. He went on to perform in “The Billy Miles Band,” which was voted Denver’s #1 Jazz group. He then traveled to New York where he continued his piano studies under Julliard instructor Bertha Melnik. He accumulated major label credits for his contributions to R&B albums released under Elektra, Tommy Boy, and Polygram. Madison’s passionate heart of an adventurer encouraged him to go out on his own . In the early 90’s he created a special concert entitled “Life Matters” designed to impart positive messages to young people. He performed for numerous school assemblies throughout the Midwest. Then in 1995 he began to apply his ability to create strong and compelling melodies to serious original works for solo piano and piano with instrumental background. This was well-received by radio and prompted Madison in 1998 to form Firefly Records. For the next 7 years, he toured the country extensively, performing his music live for audiences coast to coast and amassing over CD sales of over 80,000 units at his live shows! He now has 6 CD titles with a seventh on the way. Since then he has consistently produced great records that have been received with enthusiastic response and fantastic reviews with high demand for the music to continue. His most recent release, “Perfect Hearts”, is his current top-seller. His upcoming CD, “Spice of Life” will merge his strong melodic sense with the exciting rhythms of smooth jazz, and will introduce Madison’s brilliant compositions to a new fan base.
Vince is currently offering instruction in the Denver area. He has been teaching since 1993. He loves teaching kids, and is a patient and friendly teacher. Vince also has an exciting new approach for adults that allows them to start working on music they love right from the start. Ask about it!
