BIOGRAPHY

I have a Doctorate in Music (DMA) which is really a degree in saxophone performance. I teach classical and jazz styles. I am a certificated Music teacher for Seattle Public Schools and have taught at all levels of music education: University, community college and all levels of public education. I have taught saxophone for over 25 years. I teach the saxophone as an art, a science and a craft and borrow teaching techniques from all the great saxophone teachers (Rousseau, Wolfe, Allard, Liebman, Teal, and others)

I am a professional saxophonist who has played with The Stan Kenton Orchestra, Kenny Burrell, Jimmy Smith, Jessica Williams, Lou Rawls, Oliver Nelson, Richie Cole and others
