BIOGRAPHY
Drawn to the folk and rock music of the 60's I became a self taught guitarist/performer of popular musical styles.
My interest in music deepened as I learned to play piano as well. In the early 1990's, I obtained a BA in Music, focusing on Jazz, and began a teaching and performing career. I have sung in the noted Oakland Jazz Choir, the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir; and have led a small performing vocal jazz quartet for several years, playing in local clubs, festivals, and public events. I offer popular vocal jazz workshops and performance workshops and have worked with hundreds of budding singers, many of whom have become professional. I offer private piano, voice, and guitar lessons for children to adults.
