BIOGRAPHY
Michael Strelo-Smith has had a varied career as a young artist. He was recently seen as a Semi-Finalist on the hit NBC/Universal program, America's Got Talent - Season 3. He was also a quarter-finalist on season 2 and has garnered praise from international audiences as the show has aired throughout the UK and Europe.
With numerous musical theatre and operatic credits to his name, some of his favorite roles include: Charlie Brown (Snoopy!!!); Dickon (Secret Garden); Jack (Into the Woods); Billy (Carousel); Soloist (Closer than Ever); Soloist (Grand Night For Singing); Horace Tabor (The Ballad of Baby Doe); Falke in (Die Fledermaus); Harlekin (Ariadne auf Naxos); Pooh-Bah (The Mikado). He garnered high critical praise for his interpretation of Sharpless in Madama Butterfly with West Bay Opera and Bay Shore Lyric Opera and most recently with Livermore Valley Opera.
A national finalist in the 2003 Classical Productions Voice Competition, Mr. Strelo-Smith was heard in Carnegie Hall - Weill Recital Hall. In 2000 Mr. Strelo-Smith reveived a study grant from the Licia Albanese-Puccini Foundation and appeared in the annual winners concert in New York's Alice Tully Hall. His a also a past 1st place winner of the Berkeley Piano Club Voice Compeititon and a semi-finalist in the Loren L. Zachary Society for the Performing Arts.
