BIOGRAPHY
Eric Klotz is an award winning guitarist who is located in Chicago, IL. He began playing guitar when he was 9 years old and has been fortunate to study a variety of styles of music and guitar playing.
Eric has had the pleasure of performing with Will Kennedy (Yellowjackets), Brian Torff, Mark Pender (Conan O'Brien), Glenn Alexander, and Slammin Sammy K.
His performance experience includes: jazz combos, big bands, solo guitar, duets, cover bands, rock horn bands, latin jazz groups, and worship bands. He is currently working on some new projects and continues to lead the Eric Klotz Trio.
Eric has been teaching guitar professionally since 1999 through music stores, Minnesota State University Moorhead, and school systems. He has taught at the International Music Camp at the International Peace Garden for the last seven years. He has experience directing combos and teaching classes of twenty or more students. He also is experienced teaching theory, composition, and improvisation. Currently, he teaches primarily through his private studio in Chicago.
Other areas of significant experience include: Pro-tools, Reason, audio/video editing, guitar effects/signal chain/tone, transcribing, Finale.
