BIOGRAPHY
James Spencer is an internationally acclaimed concert and jazz pianist, musical theatre vocalist, composer/arranger and music instructor. With MM degrees in piano and voice, he has taught music privately and for colleges for the past 25 years. He is currently accepting students for lessons at his Belmont Shore Home Studio. New for 09: Lessons in your home: Long Beach, Seal Beach, Huntington Beach, Westminster, Costa Mesa and Newport Beach. Lessons are offered in the following areas of concentration: Beginning-Advanced Piano and Voice, Beginning-Intermediate Violin, Music Composition-Songwriting, Music Theory/Jazz Theory and Ear Training. Specializations: Classical Piano and Voice, Operatic Repertoire, Jazz-Pop Piano -Voice and Improv, Musical Theatre Vocal Repertoire and Acting for Singers, Celtic and Bluegrass Fiddle, Pedagogy (Student classes for setting up private piano/voice studios), Artist Development, College/University Music Exam and Audition Prep.
