BIOGRAPHY
My life has revolved around gospel music for many years. I’ve been singing from the time I could talk. Singing has been a source of personal enjoyment and fulfillment for as long as I can remember. My mom’s family is heavily involved in church ministry, so my life followed in the same vein.
After high school, I attended Bible college and earned a B.A.in Church Music Ministry. While attending seminary, I sang, recorded and toured extensively across the entire U. S., Canada and Jamaica with my cousin and her husband, Wayne & Elizabeth Goodine. We crammed 9 people in a van and traveled many weekends, holidays and every summer break for 7 years. Those were great years for me.
After graduation from Bible College, I worked as music director for a succession of churches over the years. In 1994, I traveled with Grammy winner, Lanny Wolfe, to GITMO and sang for the troups as they were preparing to invade Haiti.
One of the great joys of my life is sharing the gift of music and passing on the training I've received to the next generation. I own a music lessons studio in Boerne where I teach voice and piano lessons. I also direct the music program at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Comfort, Texas.
In February ’07, I moved to Boerne, Texas to live near my family. I have two nieces and a little nephew. It's so good to live near them and to be involved in their lives as they grow.
In my “spare” time, I enjoy reading, songwriting, interior design, faux painting, hiking, tennis, movies and getting together with family and friends as often as possible.
This is my first year at OLLU and I’m studying to become a Speech Language Pathologist.
