BIOGRAPHY
Jennifer Day, flutist, is an active concerto soloist and recitalist, performing traditional literature as well as contemporary works and new music by living composers. She has been a featured soloist throughout California in numerous venues such as the Redlands Symphony, Beverly Hills International Music Festival Orchestra, University of Redlands Orchestra, and the University of California Irvine Symphony Orchestra. Jennifer holds Bachelor and Master Degrees in Flute Performance from the University of California, Irvine Claire Trevor School of the Arts (graduating cum laude) and the University of Redlands School of Music.
Jennifer is an active freelance musician and teacher in the Orange County area and has had a thriving private flute studio for eleven years of students ranging from beginning through advanced levels, and ages nine through adult. She currently plays flute and piccolo with the Redlands Symphony Orchestra, is principal flute with the Riverside Opera Orchestra, and is a substitute flutist for the San Diego Symphony. Jennifer is a member of the Music Teacher’s Association of California (MTAC), the National Flute Association (NFA), the San Diego Flute Guild, and the San Bernardino Flute Guild.
