"Darlene is that rare breed who teaches as well as she performs."
–Andy Hill, Colombia College, Chicago.
"After over a half century in the business, is with great admiration and awe that I endorse anything that Darlene does. God has given her five octaves, which she manages to use impeccably and with great musicianship despite all the misinformation that we all receive in trying to learn to sing. Darlene has emerged victorious as a superb singer, arranger, and composer . . . I wouldn't recommend anyone else but a consummate artist like Darlene for ear-training, sight-singing and in general, good musical taste . . .
–Seth Riggs, “speech level singing voice coach to the stars”
“Darlene is a most extraordinary vocal talent. The voice is true and pure and has the widest possible range of styles at its command. She also has the heart to be able to put real meaning into a song and bring it to life. Quite apart from the fact that she sang most beautifully on my album "Awakening," I personally use her for demo¹s and finals whenever possible and always ask her to book background singers or a choir for me when I need one because I know she will give me only the very best. Beyond her immense talent, she is totally professional and completely reliable, two rather rare and invaluable qualities.”
–Jeremy Lubbock,?GRAMMY® winning arranger, composer, Sting, Barbra Streisand
"I was very impressed with what I heard and I love your singing."
–Peter Gabriel
