BIOGRAPHY

I've just returned from over three years of Theatre work onboard various Royal Caribbean cuise ships. Before that, I did freelance wedding gigs, played with professional orchestras from Chicago to Iowa, and toured with a brass quintet in Germany.

If you would like direction and perspective on ways of beginning or improving your trumpet skills, it's always a good idea to take lessons. I specialized in music education and trumpet performance in college, and just returned from over three years of playing in the theatre orchestra on Royal Caribbean Cruise Ships. I'm eager to share my ideas, as I imagine you're eager to learn! Write me or call with any questions you may have. Here's a bit of what to expect:

Focus, relaxation, and self improvement are fundamental. Whether you're a beginner or a university trumpet professor, I'll assume you are taking lessons to gain knowledge, wisdom, and increase your playing ability, and I will tailor each lesson to see that you're gaining everything you can from them. You may need to purchase books eventually that will fit your needs, which could cost from $30-$40.

Lesson fees are as follows:
$20 per half hour
$40 per hour
I currently work for Hot Rod Music in Cary. I believe they charge $21 per half hour.
I do not have a place I can teach out of besides Hot Rod Music, however I can teach you in your home. The reason I am charging a bit more than I would normally is to cover transportation expenses. I have studied all brass instruments, and can teach any of them, however, I may not have your specific instrument in which to provide a model, and would encourage moving on eventually to a teacher who specializes in your particular instrument.
