BIOGRAPHY
I was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I began performing at the age of five and was a member of The Tulsa Ghetto Youth Choir. Blessed with talent in the performing arts of voice, theatre, dance, gymnastics, and poetry, I was selected for acting roles, vocal ensembles, and lead vocals. Such songs as I Believe, No Man Is An Island, Somewhere Over The Rainbow, and later Aretha Franklin’s Until You Come Back to Me, The Jackson 5’s I Want You Back, and Stevie Wonder’s My Cherie Amour were among my favorites.
Acting performances included Pearly in Pearly Victorious, Bobo in A Raisin In The Sun, and the lead role of Troy in the play Fences. A graduate from John Roberts Powers School of Modeling in San Francisco, I was chosen male winner for Face Finders Model Search Competition and became a model for Cabine Modeling Agency.
I moved to San Francisco and studied voice with Dr. Helen Dilworth and Raz Kennedy from 1995 to 1999. In January 2000 I studied with Master Speech Level Singing (SLS) Instructor David Stroud. Dave taught me not to force notes or yell on pitch. Instead, I learned to connect smoothly through the bridges in my voice. With much hard work and continual progress, Dave asked me to become a Speech Level Singing Instructor.
January 2005, I joined the SLS instructor organization, and attended SLS Summer Vocal Camp in Los Angeles. In October of that year I received my first voice lesson from Seth Riggs. I also studied with SLS Master Instructors, Greg Enriquez, Dean Kaelin. Further, SLS Master Instructors Jeffrey Skouson of Las Vegas and Wendy Parr of New York City influenced me tremendously.
Selected in 2008 as an SLS classroom instructor for children, through Be Productions’ Rising Stars for Singers Six Week Boot Camp, I taught ages five through eighteen, which culminated with performance showcases. This privilege is now extended to the SLS Star Farm Classes for children in 2009.
I am currently a certified Level 2 SLS Instructor. Additionally, I chair a leadership position in the SLS Education Advisory Group representing the San Francisco Bay Area. I teach private lessons at The Voice Studio in San Francisco, The Jazz School in Berkeley, and I am currently in the studio producing a collection of original compositions.
An important part of the student’s experience at Alexycon Voice Studio extends to Alexycon Productions, a Digidesign Pro Tools, and HD3 professional recording studio. The studio and music producers are available for hire by my students to record vocals and music professionally for worldwide consumption.
Note: Alexycon Voice Studio and Alexycon Productions are wholly owned subsidiaries of Alexycon Records Inc.
Testimonials
From Jae Bang: Throughout my musical life, I’ve struggled to sing better and improve. I wanted to improve so that I could show people that I can sing properly. I not only wanted to impress others, I wanted to make an impact on myself. Alexys has helped me in this way. He not only simply taught me the proper technique to sing, he taught me how I should value my gift, my voice and not abuse it.
Through him, I was able to overcome the wall that was holding me back, and I'm still taking lessons to one day perfect it. A good teacher as he is, he is also a teacher who cares for the student's voice.

From Jennifer Chien: I have been taking lessons from Alexys for about 6 months, and I can definitely feel and hear an improvement in my singing.
The exercises he gives are very useful for addressing my particular weaknesses and building on my strengths as a singer. He is very encouraging and also challenges me to go beyond my comfort zone to refine my vocal technique. I appreciate that he has a sense of humor about things, while at the same time he is very serious and dedicated to teaching proper and healthy singing.

From Priscilla M. Havea: I highly recommend Alexys Paris as a vocal instructor. My daughter loves him and is always excited to go to vocal lessons. His specialties, techniques and experience help my daughter to enjoy singing and learning the voice unconditionally. As a mother, bringing my daughter to vocal lessons every week, I known deep inside my heart that this is a great investment for my daughter. Katherina Havea is not only helped through the art and technique of Speech Level Singing, but it helps her in different ways, such as being more confident and have strong faith in herself. As long as I can afford it, I will continue bringing her to Alexys because I have witness her progress in singing. We love you Alexys. Keep up the good work and continue on shinning.

From Sophie Mataele: First and foremost I would like to take a second to express my gratitude to the Almighty for bringing us Alexys Paris. As a mother like most parents out there, one can be a bit paranoid when it comes to finding someone that you would hope to trust from online. And when my sister-in-law chose Alexys Paris over many Vocalists online and told me how an EXCELLENT TEACHER he was, I immediately put my daughter in, and although we've only been with Alexys since last year, it feels like we've known each other, well, like forever. He's a very trust-worthy individual, which is one of the most important things I look for in a person. He’s reliable, kind, caring, loving, and funny with a great sense of humor that my daughter, Esetia just loves and adores... I would highly recommend Alexys out there to any of the parents who would want the best VOCALISTS for their children. My daughter has learned so much more since she's been with Alexys Paris, and she will continue to stay with Alexys, until she meets his term. Here is my daughter Esetia, in her own words of what she wants to share with you all about her vocal teacher Alexys: Thank you Alexys for teaching Me and You are a WONDERFUL PERSON. We Love You Alexys.
Thank You & Much Love
